Mariing pinabulaanan ni Lanao del Sur Representative Zia Alonto Adiong ang pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte, na tanging mga kaalyado lamang ng administrasyon ang binibigyan ng sapat na pondo.
Tugon ito ng mambabatas sa pahayag ni VP Duterte, na halos kapareho lamang ng 2025 budget na P733 milyon ang kanyang hihilingin para sa 2026, dahil hindi naman binibigyan ng pondo ang hindi kaalyado ng adninistrasyon.
Giit ni Adiong, ang pondong inilalaan ng gobyerno ay nakabatay sa pangangailangan ng isang opisina hindi sa politikal na katayuan ng taong nakaupo rito.
“I beg to disagree because in the first place, though we may not or she may not agree with the policies of this current administration, but she is occupying a very important agency which is the Office of the Vice President,” ani Adiong.
Paliwanag pa ng kinatawan na nagsilbing sponsor ng budget ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) ngayong 2025, lahat ng ahensya ay may karapatang magsumite ng budget proposal at dadaan ito sa masusing pagbusisi ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) at ng Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC).
“We will focus not only on the actual occupant of the office, but we will focus in terms of how we appreciate the budget request, we will focus on the needed support in terms of budget allocation for the Office of the Vice President to be working,” sabi pa niya.
