Naghahanap ang Department of Education (DepEd) ng makakatuwang sa school-based feeding program para sa isang buong taon.

Ayon kay Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte, ang naaprubahang budget para sa feeding program sa mga paaralan ay 120 araw lamang.

Kailangan aniyang gawin itong 220 araw upang masakop ang school year na pumapasok sa paaralan ang mga mag-aaral.

Kinilala ni VP Sara na ilan sa basic problems na kinahaharap ng sektor ng edukasyon ang gutom, malnutrisyon, kahirapan, kawalan ng tirahan, at kakulangan sa disaster preparedness at resiliency.

Noong nakaraang taon ay umabot sa 3.5 million learners ang naging target beneficiaries ng DepEd gamit ang β‚±3.3 billion pesos na budget.  | ulat ni Hajji Pantua KaamiΓ±o
