Pinagtibay ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang House Concurrent Resolution No. 10 para sa pagtatatag ng isang e-Congress.
Ang e-Congress ay isang digital legislative management system na layong pabilisin ang trabaho ng legislative secretariat at gawing mas accessible sa publiko ang mga impormasyon kaugnay ng mga panukalang batas na inihain at napagtibay ng Senado at House of Representatives.
Pinangunahan ni Speaker Martin Romualdez ang paghahain ng resolusyon kasama sina Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” Dalipe, Senior Deputy Majority Leader at Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos, Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, at Tingog Party-list Representatives Yedda Marie Romualdez at Jude Acidre.
βTo enhance digital collaboration, communication and connectivity between both houses, and to improve their services to the people, the Senate and the House of Representatives agree and commit to undertake concerted efforts in the development of an updated digital, integrated and secure legislative management system,β saad sa resolusyon.
Ang gastos para sa pagpapatakbo ng e-Congress ay kukunin sa budget ng Kamara at Senado habang ang mga susunod na funding ay isasama na sa National Budget.
Ang Senate at House Secretary General ang mangunguna sa pagbuo ng e-Congress.
Ang pagpapatibay sa naturang resolusyon ay susundan ng isang Memorandum of Agreement sa pagitan ng Kamara at Senado.
