Aminado si House Committee on Constitutional Amendments Chair Rufus Rodriguez na may kalayaan ang Constitutional Convention o Con-con delagates na magsulong ng iba pang amyenda sa Saligang Batas.
Kung matatandaan, sa naging interpelasyon sa plenaryo hinggil sa Resolution of Both Houses 6 ay nagbabala si Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman sa posibilidad na maisama pa rin ang political amendments oras na mag convene ang Con-con.
Ayon kay Rodriguez , hindi ito imposible, ngunit umaasa ito na susundin ng mga magiging delegado ang nakasaad sa resolusyon na tanging economic provisions lamang ang amyendahan.
โWe have to be clear on that. If itโs a Con-con, we have elected and appointed delegates and they will be holding constituent plenary powers and so we cannot prevent them even if our resolution really says amendments to economic provisions. And we hope that our delagtes will really just stick to economic amendments so that it will not be controversial and divisive.โ ani Rodriguez
Dagdag pa nito, na kaya nga Con-con ang kanilang itinutulak ay upang ibigay sa taumbayan o publiko ang desisyon ng pag amyenda sa Saligang Batas kaysa Con-ass.
โThat is why it doesnโt fly, the Con-ass because they will say โthese congressmen and senators are going to protect their interest and that is why we want to have a democratic, more inclusive constitutional convention.โ
