Bukod dito, patatatagin rin aniya nito ang kahinaan ng bansa sa supply chain na idinulot ng pandemiya.

Ayon sa pangulo, maituturing na landmark initiative ang proyektong ito na magiging daan upang mas maging connected ang Pilipinas.

Kaugnay nito, pinasalamatan ni Pangulong Marcos ang financial support ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), at ang effort ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) para sa panibagong milestone na ito.
Matatandaang layon ng 147.26-kilometer railway project na ito na pababain ang travel time sa pagitan ng Clark International Airport at Calamba City, Laguna, sa dalawang oras mula sa kasalukuyang apat na oras.
Sa oras na makumpleto sa 2029, kaya nitong mag-accommodate ng 800,000 na pasahero kada araw.
