Pinagtibay ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso sa ikalawang pagbasa ang E-Governance Bill, isa sa priority measures na itinutulak ng Marcos Jr. administration.

Layon ng E-Governance Act na i-digitize ang napakaraming government records at pabilisin ang government transaction sa pamamagitan ng paggamit sa digital platform.

Gamit ang information and communications technology (ICT) ay pag-uugnay-ugnayin din ang iba’t ibang ahensya para sa transparent na pamamahala.

Saklaw nito ang lahat ng executive, legislative, at judicial offices, kabilang na ang mga local government units, state universities and colleges, government-owned and controlled corporations, pati na ang iba pang kinauukulang ahensya na nagbibigay ng mga serbisyong may kaugnayan sa pagnenegosyo at non-business related transactions.

Itatatag ang isang E-Governance Unified Project Management Office (E-Gov-UPMO) na siyang mangangasiwa sa ICT projects ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno.

Isang E-Government Master Plan (EGMP) din ang bubuoin na magsisilbing blueprint para sa paglikha ng lahat ng electronic-Government service process para sa digital transformation.

Kukunin naman ang pondo sa pagpapatupad nito mula sa Spectrum User’s Fees na kinokolekta ng National Telecommunications Commission.
