Nakikita at nararamdaman na ng publiko ang benepisyo ng Subscriber Indentity Module (SIM) registration law.

Ayon kay Senate Committee on Public Services Chairperson Senador Grace Poe, kita ang epekto ng batas sa pagbaba ng mga reklamo tungkol sa mga text scams.

Sa kabila nito, binigyang diin ni Poe na hindi dapat magpakakampante at dapat tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pagpapatupad ng naturang batas.

Sinabi ng senador na hindi dapat bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga scammer na makagawa ng bagong mga trick para lokohin ang publiko.

Pinunto ng mambabatas na ang kabuuang bilang ng mga nakarehistro nang SIM ay 25% pa lang ng kabuuang active SIM sa buong bansa.

Matatandaang nakatakda na sa April 26 ang deadline ng pagpaparehistro ng mga SIM.

Kaya naman hindi aniya dapat magpakakampante ang mga telecommunications companies sa paghihikayat ng mga mobile user na magparehistro.
