Pilipinas, nagsimula nang mag-export ng fresh “hass” avocado sa Korea ayon sa DA

Sinimulan na ng Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) ang pag-export ng Fresh ‘Hass’ Avocado sa bansang Korea.

Isinagawa ang ceremonial send-off ng avocado fruits sa KTC Port Tibungco, Davao City kahapon, Setyembre 30, 2023.

Setyembre 25, 2009, nang opisyal na ihayag ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng Bureau of Plant Industry ang layunin nitong mag-export ng sariwang hass avocado fruits sa Korea, bilang pagtugon sa kahilingan ng DOLE Philippines. 

Noong Hunyo 19, 2023 lamang nagkasundo ang Department of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (APQA) ng Republic of Korea at DA-BPI tungkol sa proyekto at nagkabisa nitong Setyembre 8 ngayong taon.

Ang initial shipment ng 3,040 boxes, na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng US$ 48,433, ay inaasahang darating sa Pyongtaek Port sa South Korea sa Oktubre 8. 2023. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
