Pinasisiguro ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa Misamis Occidental na hindi na makakaapak pa muli sa probinsya ang mga teroristang grupo o mga nagpopondo o sumusuporta sa karahasan o terorismo.
“I ask the local government units of Misamis Occidental to intensify collaboration with various government agencies, partners, and other stakeholders to thwart any posturing or coming back of terrorist groups or any of their financiers or supporters may still be contemplating.” —Pangulong Marcos
Ginawa ng Pangulo ang pahayag sa deklarasyon ng Insurgency Free status ng Misamis Occidental, ngayong araw (September 27).
Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi natatapos sa deklarasyong ito ang papel ng gobyerno.
Kailangan aniyang manatiling alerto ng lahat, laban sa mga banta na posibleng umusbong, at magpawalang-bisa sa mga tagumpay na nakamit na sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan.
“However, as we celebrate today these gains, we cannot rest here. We must remain vigilant against the emerging threats that undermine our hard-won gains.” -Pangulong Marcos
Sila aniya sa pamahalaan, agresibo na ang ginagawang pagpapatupad ng mga socioeconomic intervention, na mag-angat sa buhay ng mga mamamayan sa probinsya, upang magtuloy- tuloy pa ang pag-unlad doon.
“This is why the aggressive implementation of socioeconomic interventions by bringing investments in education, health, infrastructure, livelihood helped prevent the recurrence of conflict here in Misamis Occidental.” —Pangulong Marcos
Ang nais ni Pangulong Marcos, sa pamamagitan ng mga programa ng administrasyon, patuloy na maiaangat ang probinsya, ang buong rehiyon ng Mindanao, at ang buong Pilipinas, para sa isang mas magandang kinabukasan ng mga Pilipino.
“Let Misamis Occidental stand as a shining example of what can be achieved when we work for the greater good together.
