Nagsimula na ang Sama Sama 2024 Joint Exercise ng Pilipinas at U.S sa Subic, Zambales.

Ang naturang aktibidad ay bahagi ng Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) na naglalayong palakasin ang kakayahan ng dalawang bansa sa pagharap sa mga non-traditional security concerns.

Kabilang dito ang territorial defense, man-made disasters, terrorism, maritime security, at transnational crimes

Ang pagsasanay ay tatagal ng dalawang linggo na nahahati sa shore at sea phases.

Inaasahan naman lalahok sa pagsasanay sa sea events ang Royal Canadian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, at French Navy.| ulat ni Diane Lear
