Mas mababa ang naitatalang election-related violence incident ngayon kumpara sa kaparehong panahon sa mga nagdaang eleksyon.

Ayon kay COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia, nakakatulong ang mga ginagawang peace covenant ng mga kandidato na may positibong epekto sa pangkalahatang sitwasyon ng kapayapaan at kaayusan.

Batay din sa kunsultasyon nila sa Philippine National Police ay wala pang mga lugar na dapat ilagay sa COMELEC control.

Gayunman, aminado ang COMELEC na posibleng tumaas pa ang insidente ng karahasan sa ilang lugar na may kaugnayan sa eleksyon pagsapit ng March 28, kasabay ng pagsisimula ng kampanya para sa lokal na posisyon. | ulat ni Don King Zarate
