International Organization for Migration (IOM) at Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) nagpulong para sa mga proyektong pangkalusugan sa BARMM

Nagpulong ang International Organization for Migration (IOM) at Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) nitong nagdaang linggo upang talakayin ang mga update sa BRIGHT-BARMM project na nakatakdang ipatupad ng dalawang ahensya ngayong 2025.

May kabuuang pondong US$13 milyon, layunin ng BRIGHT-BARMM o Building Resilience through Inclusive Governance and Healthcare Transformation in BARMM na mapabuti ang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa rehiyon, alinsunod sa Universal Health Care (UHC). Tatlong pangunahing bahagi ang saklaw nito, kabilang ang pagpapalakas ng health system, kaligtasan ng ina at adolescent reproductive health, at global health security. Sakop ng proyekto ang mga probinsya sa Mainland at Island BARMM, pati na rin ang Zamboanga City at Sulu.

Pinangunahan ni IOM Chief of Mission Tristan Burnett at KOICA Country Director Jung Young Sun ang pagpupulong kung saan inilatag ang mga pangunahing bahagi ng proyekto at mga estratehiya upang matiyak ang epektibong pagpapatupad nito. Kapwa nangako ang dalawang ahensya na palalakasin ang kanilang kooperasyon upang mapabuti ang sistema ng kalusugan sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Sa pamamagitan ng matibay na ugnayan ng IOM at KOICA, inaasahang mas mapapalakas ang sektor ng kalusugan sa BARMM at matitiyak ang mas malawak na access sa dekalidad na serbisyong medikal sa rehiyon. | ulat ni EJ Lazaro
