Duda si House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe sa tunay na intensyon ng paghahain ng reklamo laban sa House leaders kaugnay sa 2025 National Budget.
Ayon kay Dalipe na kasama sa mga inireklamo, walang mali sa pag-apruba sa pambansang pondo na isa aniya sa Constitutional duty ng Kongreso.
Hindi rin aniya Kamara lang ang gumalaw sa pagpapatibay mg General Appropriations Act (GAA) dahil dumaan ito sa maigting na deliberasyon ng dalawang kapulungan, bago iniakyat sa tanggapan ng Pangulo.
Kaya naman palaisipan sa kaniya kung bakit mga miyebro lang ng Kamara ang inireklamo.
“The mere fact that only the House has been impleaded in the complaint raises serious questions about the true intent behind these allegations. The budget process is a shared responsibility, yet the focus on one chamber alone suggests a deliberate effort to mislead the public and cast doubt on the integrity of the House’s work,” ani Dalipe.
Kinuwestyon din niya ang pakikibahagi ni Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez sa reklamo.
Bilang miyembro ng Kamara, dapat ay noon pa aniya siya nagsalita at kinuwestyon ang pondo.
“As a sitting member of the House during the deliberations of the 2025 General Appropriations Bill, he had every opportunity to raise objections, question allocations, and point out any supposed infirmities during plenary discussions. Yet, he did not,” sabi pa ni Dalipe.
Kaya naniniwala ang Majority Leader na politically motivated na lang ang reklamo na ito na layong i-discredit o siraan ang House leadership.
“Passing the national budget is not a crime; it is a fundamental responsibility of Congress. Any attempt to portray it otherwise is a clear distortion of facts and an attack on the legislative process itself. Instead of engaging in political distractions, we must focus on ensuring that the 2025 budget is fair, responsive, and effectively serves the needs of the Filipino people,” saad pa niya. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
