Mga naglalabas ng sensitibong dokumento, binalaan ng PNP

Nagbabala ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa sinumang pulis na nagpapakalat ng mga sensitibong dokumento sa publiko.

Ito’y ayon sa PNP ay bilang bahagi na rin ng pinaigting nilang kampaniya kontra sa paglaganap ng mga disinformation at fake news.

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief, PCol. Randulf Tuaño, maaaring maharap sa reklamong administratibo ang sinumang pulis na mapatutunayang naglalabas ng mga naturang dokumento.

Mayroon aniyang inilabas na memorandum ang The Chief of the Directorial Staff (TCDS) noong Setyembre 2024 na nagpapaalala sa mga miyembro ng PNP hinggil sa pagpapalabas ng mga dokumento sa publiko.

Bukod sa kasong administratibo, maaari ring parusahan ang mga commander dahil sa neglect of duty o command responsibility salig sa Executive Order no. 226.

“Naglabas ang PNP ng reminder ang source nito ay TCDS memo dated Sept. 30, 2024 kung saan ito ay pinapaalalahan yung mga miyembro ng PNP sa paglalabas ng mga dokumento especially doon sa mga documents kaya isa sa mga naresearch doon ay yung possible na patawan ng parusan or kasuhan ng administrative case yun pong mga commander na lalabag sa neglect of duty or command responsibility under EO 226 na kung saan yung specific pong mga detalye ng pagpaparusa ay makikita rin sa Napolcom MC 2016-002. Sa ngayon nakausap ko si Gen. Bernie Yang at undergoing  yung investigation nila at eto ay nakikita nila na kapagka may mga paggamit ng ICT doon sa pagpapalabas ng mga fake news na makikita sa Revised Penal Code ay tumataas yung penalty. Ito ay pinag-aaralan at kinoconsider din ng ACG yung Senate Bill 1492 kung saan pinapanukala na parusahan yung mga false news and other related violations.”
