SEC, may alok na insentibo upang hikayatin ang mga korporasyon na tumalima sa reportorial requirements

May alok ang Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sa mga korporasyon upang hikayatin ang mga delinquent corporation na sumunod sa reportorial requirements.

Sa inisyung Enhanced Compliance Incentive Plan (ECIP), papayagan nito ang mga delinquent corporation na i-settle ang kanilang unassessed o unpaid fines and penalties na kasing baba ng P20,000.

Ang ECIP ay inisyu kasunod ng SEC’s amnesty program, dahil nais nilang matiyak na sumusunod sa lahat ng mga batas at regulasyon ang mga kumpanya.

Ayon kay SEC Chairperson Emilio Aquino, istriktong ipinapatupad ng SEC ang mas mataas na penalty at multa sa mga hindi nagpapasa ng documentary requirements.

Ang mga suspendido at binawian ng rehistro, kabilang ang may nakabinbing petisyon para sa pag-alis ng suspension o revocation order, at maaari nang bayaran ng 50 percent sa kanilang multa.

Ang aplikasyon ng mga non-compliant, suspended at revoked corporations para sa ECIP ay maaaring isumite simula September 2, 2024 hanggang November 30, 2024. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz Reyes
