Nakita na rin ang bumagsak na Cessna 340 aircraft na may tail number RP-C2080 matapos ang ilang pagtatangkang marating ang crash site na pinahirapan pa ng masamang lagay ng panahon.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Spokesperson Eric Apolonio sa tulong na rin ng mga tauhan nila sa Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board na bahagi ng search and rescue operations.

Ayon kay Apolonio, positibong tinukoy ng Board ang wreckage site sa kanlurang bahagi ng dalisdis o slope ng bulkang Mayon Volcano na may taas na 3,500-4,000 talampakan gamit ang high resolution camera na ginamitan ng infrared. Sa kasalukuyan, hindi pa batid ang kalagayan ng mga sakay ng eroplano dahil hindi pa naaabot ng Search and Rescue Team ang eksaktong lugar kung saan unang bumangga ang naturang eroplano.
