Inaasahan na magbubukas ng maraming employment opportunities ang implementasyon ng 194 infra flagship projects na inaprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) board.
Sa press briefing sa MalacaΓ±ang, ipinaliwanag ni NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, na kabibilangan kasi ng malalaking construction activities ang mga proyektong ito na magpapaganda sa investment climate ng bansa.
Sa ganitong paraan, ang mga mamumuhunan kapwa domestic at foreign, at maging iyong mga kasalukuyang investor ay makakapag-expand ng operasyon na makalilikha naman ng trabaho para sa mga Pilipino.
“These IFPs, especially once they are rolled out, implemented will boost employment opportunities because these are investments, these are construction β there will be construction activities, massive construction activities and that will improve the investment climate in the country so that more investors can come in both domestic and foreign, and current investors can expand their operations β those will create jobs.” β Secretary Balisacan.
Sinabi ng kalihim, na layon naman ng pamahalaan na maipatupad ang mga programang ito sa pinakamabilis na panahon upang agad na makapag-generate ng employment opportunities sa bansa, tungo sa pagpapababa ng antas ng kahirapan sa Pilipinas.
“So the whole purpose of putting this in place and to roll them as fast as we can is to generate employment opportunities so that we can also achieve our poverty reduction goal, you know, reduce it to single-digit level by 2028.” β Secretary Balisacan.
