Nagsagawa ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) flight sa Pag-asa Island, Ayungin Shoal, at Sabina Shoal.

Kaugnay ito sa bilang ng mga dayuhang sasakyang-pandagat kabilang ang Chinese Maritime Militia (CMM), ang presensya ng People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy at Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) vessels na dati nang naobserbahan at naiulat.

Napansin ng PCG ang pagbaba sa bilang ng mga pinaghihinalaang CMM vessels, na naobserbahan sa Pag-asa, mula sa 42 noong nakaraang linggo na nasa 15 na lamang pagdating ng Huwebes.

Patuloy na gumagala ang Jiangdao Class warship ng PLA Navy at CCG vessel 5203 sa loob ng 12-nautical mile territorial sea ng Pag-asa.

Habang sa ibabaw ng Ayungin Shoal, nakita ng PCG na napanatili ng CCG vessel 5304 ang kanyang presensya halos 6-nautical mile mula sa Philippine Navy (PN) vessel, BRP Sierra Madre. | ulat ni Paula Antolin
