Nagpahayag ng kumpiyansa si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. na ang mga positibong development sa imbestigasyon sa pagpaslang nitong Sabado kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo ay hahantong sa pagtukoy ng mastermind sa krimen.

Ang pahayag ay ginawa ng PNP chief kasabay ng pagbibigay ng ulat sa estado ng imbestigasyon na aniya ay isang β€œtextbook example” ng β€œswift and decisive action” ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), PNP leadership, Regional Special Investigation Task Group ng Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Sinabi ni Gen. Azurin na ang apat na nahuling suspek ay nakikipag-cooperate sa imbestigasyon at tinutulungan na ngayon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) sa paghahanda ng kanilang sworn affidavits.

Nagbigay din aniya ng impormasyon ang mga suspek na humantong sa pagkakarekober ng mga armas at kagamitan na pinaniniwalaang ginamit sa krimen.

Dahil dito, malakas aniya ang hawak na ebidensya ng PNP para maka-establish ng β€œAir tight” na kaso.

Ang mga arestadong suspek ay sinampahan na ng paglabag sa R.A.10591 (Firearms Law) at R.A. 9516 (Illegal possession of explosives); at sasampahan ngayong araw ng kasong multiple murder at frustrated murder. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
