Nasa tatlong barangay na sa bayan ng Caluya, Antique ang apektado ng oil spill mula sa lumubog na M/T Princess Empress sa Balingawan Point, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

Ayon sa Coast Guard Sub Station Semirara, ang tatlong barangay na apektado ay Sitio Sabang, Brgy. Tinogboc, Liwagao Island, Brgy. Sibolo at Sitio Tambak, Brgy. Semirara na pawang lahat ay nasa bayan ng Caluya, Antique.

Sa pagtantiya ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), nasa limang kilometro ng coastline na ang apektado dahil sa oil spill.

Sa ngayon, nag-deploy na ng team ang Philippine Coast Guard sa nasabing lugar kung saan dala nila ang mga floating assets at equipment para hindi na kumalat pa ang oil spill sa lugar. | ulat ni Paul Tarrosa | RP1 Iloilo
