Naglaan ang Department of Agriculture (DA) ng Php72.8 million para palakasin ang coconut, coffee, at cacao industries sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Lumagda sa isang Memorandum of Agreement sina DA Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban at Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform Minister Mohammad Yacob, para palakasin ang produksiyon ng mga prutas at high value crops na pang export.
Ang pondo ay galing sa 10 percent annual allocation mula sa Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund sa ilalim ng Republic Act 11524.
Ang DA at MAFAR ay makikipagtulungan sa “Coconut-Based Coffee at Cacao Enterprise Development Project (CEDP).
Ang CEDP ang magbibigay kapasidad sa mga coconut farmer sa pag-maximize sa gamit ng coconut lands para sa intercropping ng kape at cacao coffee. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
