Nanawagan si House Appropriations Committee Chair at AKO BICOL Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co na dagdagan ang mga identification document na maaaring ipresenta para sa SIM Registration.
Ayon sa mambabatas, isa sa nakikita niyang balakid o nagpapabagal sa pagpaparehistro ng SIM cards ay ang kakulangan ng ID na tinatanggap para sa registration.
Punto nito, pahintulutan ang pagsusumite ng alternatibong dokumento gaya ng:
-Barangay Residence Certification na may litrato at barcode;
-Vaccination Card na may QR Code;
-pinakahuling BIR Income Tax Return;
-School ID na may litrato at student number;
-4Ps ATM Card na may kasamang card number;
-DSWD Social Amelioration Card na may barcode;
-DOLE CAMP identification card; at
-PhilSys National ID physical card o electronic card
Diin ni Co, verifiable o maaaring tukuyin ang authenticity ng naturang mga dokumento.
Kailangan lamang mabigyang access ng mga ahensya ang telecom para maberipika ang ID o kaya’y magkaroon sila ng proseso ng verification.
“I believe the major problem is the lack of acceptable identification, so I am suggesting the following as acceptable documents because these can be verifiable.
