DFA, muling pumalag sa panibagong insidente ng panggigitgit ng China Coast Guard sa mga barko ng Pilipinas sa Ayungin Shoal

Nanindigan ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na may legal na karapatan ang Pilipinas sa pagsasagawa ng routine maritime patrols sa territorial waters at Exclusive Economic Zone ng bansa

Ito ang inihayag ng DFA, kasunod ng panibagong insidente ng girian sa pagitan ng mga barko ng China Coast Guard gayundin ng Philippine Coast Guard nitong nakalipas na araw ng Linggo.

Ayon kay DFA Spokesperson, Ambassador Teresita Daza, dokumentado ng Philippine Coast Guard ang lahat ng mga pangyayari sa karagatan kabilang na ang mga peligrosong galaw ng China.

Pinalagan din ni Daza ang paratang ng China, na sinadya at pinagplanuhan ang muntik nang pagbangga ng barko ng Pilipinas dahil ginagawa lamang nito ang tungkuling pangalagaan ang teritoryo ng bansa.

Dahil dito, pinagsabihan ng DFA ang China na igalang ang karapatan ng Pilipinas sa West Philippine Sea salig sa United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), at tumigil sa anumang hakbang na makasasama sa katatagan gayundin sa kapayapaan sa rehiyon. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
