Naghahanda na ang pamahalaan sa inaasahang epekto ng Low Pressure Area (LPA) na binabantayan ngayon ng PAGASA, na posibleng maging unang bagyo ngayong 2023.

Sa briefing ng Laging Handa, sinabi ni Office of Civil Defense Asec Raffy Alejandro na nakatakda na ang unang weather meeting kasama ang lahat ng lokal na pamahalaan na inaasahang maaapektuhan ng LPA.

Aniya, kahit pa LPA pa lamang ito, mananatili ang monitoring status ng pamahalaan.

Bubuhayin aniya ng OCD ang preparedness activities nito, maging ang pag-responde, sakaling kailanganin ng pagkakataon.

“We are on the monitoring status, umpisa Surigao hanggang Bicol, and Central Luzon. Tinitignan natin ang effect nito, ina-anticipate natin, kahit LPA pa ito, magha-handa tayo para dito, at i-activate natin ang ating preparedness activies, papunta sa response, in the event na mag-escalate ito.” Asec Alejandro.
