Isinusulong ni Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte ang pagtatayo ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) office sa Davao City.
Sa ilalim ng House Bill 1756, binigyang diin ng mambabatas ang kahalagahan na maserbisyuhan ang mga residente ng Davao City at mabigyan sila ng pagsasanay upang magkaroon ng oportunidad sa mas magandang trabaho.
Sa kasalukuyan kasi, ang Davao City ay napapasailalim ng TESDA Provincial Office na siya ring humahawak sa buong Davao del Sur.
“Establishing this separate TESDA office will provide a better and more focused technical-vocational educatio and training (TVET) for the people of Davao City,” which has the largest number of deliverables and scope of operations that comprises at least 60 percent of the agency’s regional targets,” pahayag ni Duterte.
Ang Davao City ay mayroong 113 na registered private technical vocational institution, tatlong public TESDA training institution, at 33 accredited assessment center. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
