Kumpiyansa si Deputy Speaker at TUCP Party-list Rep. Raymond Democrito Mendoza na maibibida ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Pilipinas bilang priority investment destination ng US.
Ang pahayag ni Mendoza ay bilang suporta sa nakakatakdang US visit ni PBBM ngayong April 30.
Aniya, oras na maging investment hub ng US at maging ng Europe ang Pilipinas ay magbubukas ito ng dagdag at stable na trabaho para sa mga Pilipino.
“Workers are hopeful that the meeting between Presidents Marcos and Biden will intensify focus on the Philippines as a preferred country in which to invest, unlocking export market access to the US and also Europe. This is the key to creating new, permanent, and decent jobs,” saad ni Deputy Speaker Mendoza.
Dagdag pa ni Mendoza, naniniwala sila sa kakayanan ng Pang. Marcos Jr. bilang modern at modernizing President na magdadala ng positibong pagbabago sa labor rights ng mga manggagawang Pilipino.
Maliban dito, ang investment pledges aniya na nakuha ng Pangulo ay tiyak na magreresulta sa trabaho na may disenteng sahod at security of tenure.
“President Marcos’ leadership in bringing in foreign direct investments should translate to decent jobs. We trust that under his watch, instead of workers who are employed in precarious temporary work, we will have workers who will have security of tenure. Instead of poorly paid, low-end gig jobs, we will have decent jobs with living wages.
