Ang dedikasyon sa trabaho ng mga kasamahang mambabatas ang itinuturong dahilan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez kung bakit nakakuha ang Kamara ng 56% o “Very Good” satisfaction rating sa nakalipas na SWS survey.
Ayon sa mambabatas, nakita ng publiko ang pagsusumikap ng Mababang Kapulungan na magpasa ng mga pro-people na panukala.
Malaking bagay din aniya ang suporta at pagtitiwala ng mga kasamahang kongresista sa kaniya.
“This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our legislators in serving the Filipino people during these challenging times. As the leader of the House of Representatives, I am proud of our members and their commitment to advancing pro-people legislative measures,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Makakaasa naman aniya ang publiko na lalo pang pagbubitihin ng Kamara ang kanilang mandato at pagsuporta sa 8-point socio-economic agenda ng Marcos Jr. administration.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to help realize the 8-point socioeconomic agenda of President Marcos and deliver on our mandate to provide meaningful and responsive solutions meant to uplift the lives of the Filipino people,” dagdag ng House Speaker.
Ayon naman kay House Appropriations Committee Chair at Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Elizaldy Co, pinapantayan lamang nila ang kasipagan ng kanilang lider.
Hindi aniya maikakaila na isa sa pinaka-abalang government official ang House Speaker kaya’t kahit naka break ang Kongreso ay nagpapatuloy ang kanilang pagtatrabaho.
Maliban pa aniya ito sa “record breaking” na mga panukala na kanilang ipinasa.
“Kaya naman buong pagsisikap naming pinapantayan ang kasipagan ng aming Speaker at ng iba pang lider tulad ng majority leader at committee chairpersons. Kahit break, may hearings. Kahit pahinga, gumagalaw ang gulong ng lawmaking machinery ng Kongreso,” saad ni Co.
Sa unang limang buwan ng 19th Congress, umabot sa 37 na national bills at 128 local bills ang naipasa ng Kamara.
Bago matapos ang 2022, 19 sa priority legislation ng gobyerno ang napagtibay.
Nasa 23 sa 31 LEDAC bills ang kanila ring naipasa bago ang Holy Week break.
“And this is all because of a supportive and productive House leadership, who makes sure that our deadlines are met and the measures are deliberated exhaustively,” pagtatapos ng kinatawan.
Nagpasalamat naman si House Committee on Natural Resources Chair Elpidio Barzaga Jr. sa ipinakitang suporta ng publiko.
Aniya hindi naman nila habol ang mga pagkilala bagkus ay ginagampanan lamang ang mandato na maglingkod.
“I am very glad that the Filipino people recognize our hard work here in the House of Representatives. But let me clarify that we do not work to get recognition. We work because it is our sworn duty and mandate,” dagdag ni Barzaga.
Nagpasalamatdin si House Committee on Dangerous Drugs Chair Robert Ace Barbers sa pagkilala ng mga Pilipino sa tahimik na pagtatrabaho ng Mababang Kapulungan at sa maayos na liderato ni Romualdez.
“This is a solid satisfaction rating that shows that the majority of Filipinos like what they see in Speaker Martin Romualdez and the bigger House in general.
