Makakaasa ang mga manggagawang Pilipino na patuloy na isusulong sa Kamara ang mga panukala para sila ay mabigyan ng dagdag na sahod at benepisyo.
Ito ang inilahad ni Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs Chair Ron Salo kasabay ng pakikiisa sa selebrasyon ng Araw ng Paggawa.
Aniya kaisa sila sa Kongreso sa pagsusulong ng mas maayos at disenteng working condition para sa mga manggagawa.
“As we celebrate Labor Day this May 1, we recognize the indispensable role of labor as the backbone of our economy and society, and thus, we stand with our Filipino workers in the fight for fair and just working conditions. Our workers deserve nothing but the best. Let us continue to work together to uplift their lives and provide them with the support and protection they need and deserve,” saad ni Salo.
Kabilang sa mga panukala na itinutulak ng mambabatas ang House Bill 525 o P750 nationwide minimum wage rate.
Pinabibigyan din nito ng 14th month pay ang lahat ng empleyado sa pampubliko at pribadong sektor anuman ang employment status sa ilalim ng House Bill 520.
Bilang pagkilala naman sa mga government employee na matagal nang nagseserbisyo sa gobyerno nais ni Salo na bigyan sila ng automatic civil service eligibility.
