Hinangaan ng mga negosyante mula sa Europa ang mga ginagawang hakbang ng DOT o Department of Tourism para makatulong sa pagbangon muli ng ekonomiya ng bansa matapos itong padapain ng COVID-19 pandemic

Ito’y matapos mag-courtesy call kay Tourism Sec. Ma. Christina Frasco ang mga kinatawan ng EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) gayundin ng European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP)

Dito, inilatag ni Frasco ang mga ginawang hakbang ng kagawaran upang mapanumbalik ang sigla ng turismo sa bansa.

Kabilang na rito ang pagluluwag sa travel protocols at entry requirements, ang digitalization sa visa requirements at pagpoproseso nito

Gayundin ang pagdaragdag at pagpapaigting ng air connectivity, at pagtatayo ng road networks mula at patungo sa mga tourist destination.

Umaasa naman si Frasco na sa pamamagitan aniya ng mga hakbang na ito ay maitataguyod nila ang layunin ng pamahalaan na maihanay ang Pilipinas sa mga tinatawag na “tourism powehouse” ng mundo. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
