DSWD, handa na sa distribusyon ng Targeted Cash Transfer Program

Handa na ang Department of Social Welfare and Development na pangasiwaan ang pamamahagi ng P500 cash transfer sa 7.5 milyong benepisyaryo sa bansa.

Kasunod ito ng anunsyo ng DBM na aprubado na ang pagpapalabas ng Special Allotment Release Orders (SARO) na nagkakahalaga ng P7.6 bilyon para pondohan ang implementasyon ng Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) Program.

Ayon kay DSWD Spokesperson at Asec. Romel M. Lopez, may nakalatag na itong mekanismo para sa agad na pamamahagi ng cash transfers sa targeted Filipino households.

“The DSWD has set mechanisms to implement the TCT program in a timely manner. We hope that through this additional funding, we will be able to help our kababayans for their daily subsistence.” Asst. Secretary Lopez.

Nagpasalamat naman si DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian sa TCT Inter-Agency Committee, kabilang ang DBM, Department of Finance (DOF), at National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) para sa pagbibigay prayoridad sa budget allocation ng TCT program.

Una nang inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan na ipagpatuloy ang TCT program para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng pinakamahihirap na sektor sa lipunan. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
