Kumpiyansa si House Speaker Martin Romualdez na lalo pang aangat ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas kasunod ng naging pulong sa pagitan nina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at US President Joe Biden.
Ayon sa mambabatas, asahan na ang mas magandang hinaharap para sa relasyon ng dalawang bansa na pinagtibay matapos ang pulong ng dalawang heads of state.
Dahil naman dito, positibo ang House leader na muling mapapansin ang Pilipinas bilang investment destination, hindi lang ng US ngunit maging ng iba pang mga bansa.
“It is a promising partnership for progress and prosperity. What will follow is renewed confidence in the Philippines when it comes to investments, not only from the United States but from the rest of the world as well. This is a powerful message, seeing the two leaders discuss prosperity for our people,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Malaking bagay din aniya ang kasunduang palakasin ang kooperasyon ng Pilipinas at US sa iba’t ibang larangan gaya na lamang pagpapadala ng kauna-unahang US presidential trade and investment mission sa Pilipinas tiyak na magbubukas ng dagdag na job opportunities.
“We have found a wellspring of new hope for the Filipino people as President Biden and President Marcos Jr. discuss plans for a brighter future together. With a first-ever presidential trade and investment mission on the horizon, the Philippines can expect job creation and economic growth,” dagdag ng House Speaker.
Kaya naman kanila aniyang tatrabahuhin sa Kamara ang pagpapatibay ng mga panukalang batas na magpapahintulot sa malayang palitan at pagpasok ng trade investment upang maisakatuparan at mapakinabangan ang mga napagkasunduan sa US trip ni PBBM.
“This is our mandate and promise to the Filipino people: we will make sure that whatever investments we shall obtain from this mission shall find fertile ground in our economy.
