Naglabas na rin ng pahayag ng pagsuporta ang National Unity Party sa liderato ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Huwebes nang mag-issue ng kani-kanilang statement of support ang ilan sa political parties sa Kamara, matapos magpatupad ng rigodon sa House leaders.
Martes ng gabi nang alisin bilang senior deputy speaker si Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo na ibinaba sa pagiging deputy speaker.
Si PDP-Laban national treasurer at Pampanga 3rd District Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr. naman ang pumalit bilang bagong SDS.
Ayon kay NUP Chair Ronaldo Puno, makakaasa si Speaker Romualdez ng buong suporta mula sa mga NUP lawmakers.
Patuloy din aniya silang makikiisa sa hangarin ni Romualdez na makapagpasa ng mga lehislasyon bilang suporta sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Kasabay nito ay ipinaabot din ng NUP ang kanilang pag-bati kay Gonzales, bilang bagong SDS.
