Opisina ng NPD-DEU sa Caloocan, pinaulanan ng bala at hinagisan ng granada

Pinagbabaril at hinagisan ng granada ng mga hindi pa nakikilalang suspek ang opisina ng Drug Enforcement Unit ng Northern Police District sa Dagat-dagatan, Caloocan City.

Ayon kay Northern Police District Director PBGEN. Rogelio Peñones, pasado alas-2:00 ng madalinng araw nang mangyari ang insidente.

Batay sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng NPD, nasa loob ng opisina ang mga naka-duty na mga pulis nang paulanan ito ng bala at pasabugan ng granada.

Wala namang nasugatang PNP personnel at mga bystander ngunit napinsala ang ilang bahagi ng pinto ng naturang opisina.

Ayon pa kay Peñones, tatlong suspek ang kanilang sinisilip na persons of interest sa nasabing pamamaril.

Ilan sa mga nakikitang motibo ng pagpapasabog at pananambang sa drug enforcement group ay ang posibleng paghihiganti dahil sa sunod-sunod na kampanya o operasyon nito laban sa ilegal na droga na nasabat nito kamakailan. | ulat ni AJ Ignacio
