Pag-alis sa COVID-19 emergency, mas magbubukas sa dagdag na economic activities

Positibo ang pagtingin ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa pag-alis ng World Health Organization (WHO) sa COVID-19 global health emergency declaration.

Aniya, pinatunayan lamang nito ang matagumpay na pagtutulungan ng bawat bansa sa mundo, kabilang ang Pilipinas para tugunan ang virus.

Dahil naman dito ay dapat na aniyang paghandaan ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan ang pagsipa pa lalo ng ating ekonomiya dahil sa pag-alis sa mobility restriction at dagdag na economic activity.

“It should translate to increased mobility, more economic activities and therefore additional job and income opportunities for our workers and their families. Let the concerned government agencies and sectors of the economy prepare for this possibility, which will benefit tourist destinations and local communities,” ani Romualdez.

Sa kabila nito aminado ang House leader na nananatiling banta pa rin sa kalusugan ng COVID-19 kaya’t pinayuhan nito ang publiko na patuloy na mag-ingat.

Hiling din nito sa Department of Health (DOH) at Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na kagyat na maglabas ng minimum health protocol na nakabatay pa rin sa desisyon ng WHO na i-lift na ang global health emergency.
