Ito ang siniguro ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez kasabay ng pagdating ni Pangulong Marcos sa US para sa kaniyang 5-day official visit.
Sa hiwalay na panayam ng media kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., sinabi nito na bahagi ng kaniyang magiging bilateral meeting kay US President Joe Biden ay ang paglilinaw sa posisyon at papel ng US sa lumalalang tensyon sa Indo-Pacific region.
Naniniwala si Romualdez, na mahalaga ang magiging pulong ng dalawang head of state patungkol dito, dahil anomang tensyon o gulo na umusbong ay magkakaroon ng epekto sa pag-unlad ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas.
“The House of Representatives stands solidly behind President Marcos in his effort to further bolster the long-standing relationship between the Philippines and the United States with the end in view of ensuring peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Umaasa rin si Romualdez, na agad maikasa ang high-level dialogue sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China, kasunod na rin ng insidente sa pagitan ng Chinese at Philippine coast guard sa Ayungin Shoal.
