Mariing tinutulan ni CIBAC Party-list Representative Bro. Eddie Villanueva ang pagkakasama ng usapin ng gender fluidity, same sex union at same sex marriage sa draft curriculum ng Department of Education (DepEd) para sa Kinder hanggang Grade 10.
Ikinabigla aniya ng mambabatas na ang ganitong mga usapin ay kasama sa mga planong ituro sa basic education.
Nakababahala rin aniya na tila isinusulong na tanggapin ang ganitong idelohiya sa mga kabataan.
“We are shocked to discover that the promotion of gender ideology, same sex union and same-sex marriage is slowly creeping under our nose into the very curriculum of our basic education! What is more worrying is the slant towards promoting and condoning such practices in the minds of our young students!” diin ng kinatawan.
Labag din aniya ito sa Saligang Batas na malinaw na nagsasabing kailangan isulong at pangalagaan ng Estado ang moral at spiritual well-being ng mga kabataan.
“Not only is this anti-God, but also clearly unconstitutional! Section 13, Article II of the Constitution mandates that the State shall promote the moral and spiritual well-being of our youth. I do not see that the introduction of these topics into our basic education curriculum is heading the right direction,” dagdag ni Villanueva.
Batay sa inilabas na draft revised curriculum para sa K-10, ituturo ang iba’t ibang kasarian maging ang kahulugan at benepisyo ng same sex unions sa Araling Panlipunan 10.
Umaasa si Villanueva na rerepasuhing mabuti ang naturang revised curriculum.
Hinimok din nito ang publiko at stakeholders na maging mapagbantay sa usapin.
Plano naman ng mambabatas na magpatawag ng inquiry hinggil dito.
“Though this is still a draft and, hopefully, will still undergo revisions, it is just very disturbing that there are proponents of gender ideology inside DepEd that inject this advocacy to the education of our youth. I am calling all stakeholders to be more vigilant on this issue because this a primordial concern that will shape the moral fiber of our youth.
