Kasabay ng pagdalo sa 18th Jeju Forum at ASEAN-Korea Leaders Forum ng ilang mambabatas ay binisita din nila ang mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) na nagtatrabaho sa Jeju, South Korea.
Sa mensahe ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa Filipino Community sa Jeju, ay kinilala nito ang malaking kontribusyon ng mga OFW sa ating ekonomiya.
Dagdag pa nito na malaki ang pagpapahalaga ng Marcos Jr. administration sa lahat ng sakripisyo nila para sa pamilya at sa bayan.
“You are very, very important to us that is why we are here… Your hard work and significant contribution to the Philippine economy is not lost on us. Especially in this Marcos Jr. administration… You are the true heroes of the republic,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Kasabay nito ay tiniyak din ng House leader na kanilang sisiguruhin ang proteksyon at karapatan ng mga Filipino migrant sa South Korea.
“We are aware of the fact that peace and prosperity of this country can only be achieved if there are effective strategy that will protect, elevate and uphold your rights as migrants in the Republic of Korea,” saad ng House Speaker. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
