Bulkang Mayon, nakapagtala na ng higit 3,000 rockfall events at 63 PDCS mula June 1

Patuloy pa rin sa pag-aalburoto ang Bulkang Mayon sa lalawigan ng Albay.

Sa datos ng PHIVOLCS, umakyat na sa 3,428 Rockfall events ang na-monitor ng Mayon Volcano Network mula June 1 hanggang June 20.

Bukod dito, aabot na rin sa 63 pyroclastic density events ang naitala o pag-agos ng iba’t ibang piraso ng volcanic materials na may nakahalong mainit na gas.

Nagpapatuloy rin ang lava flow sa bunganga ng bulkan.

Katunayan, umabot sa 2.5 kilometro ang haba ng lava flow ng Bulkang Mayon sa Mi-isi Gully at 1.8 kilometro sa Bonga Gully sa nakalipas na 24 oras.

Nasa 3.3 kilometro naman ang pagguho ng lava mula sa bulkan.

Nagkaroon din ng 2 volcanic earthquake at 299 na rockfall events sa bulkan.

Sa ngayon, nananatili sa Alert Level 3 ang Bulkang Mayon. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
