Higit ₱29-M ayuda, nailaan na ng DSWD sa mga apektado ng pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Mayon

Aabot na sa higit ₱29-milyong halaga ng humanitarian assistance ang naihatid ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa mga lugar sa Bicol Region partikular na sa loob ng 7-kilometer danger zone na pinaka-apektado ng pag-aalburoto ngayon ng Bulkang Mayon.

Katuwang dito ng kagawaran ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), at iba pang partner ng DSWD.

Kabilang sa ipinamamahagi ng DSWD ang family food packs at non food items para sa mga pamilyang nakatira sa evacuation centers.

Kaugnay nito, patuloy namang nadaragdagan ang bilang ng mga pamilyang apektado ng aktibidad ng Mayon Volcano.

Batay sa tala ng DSWD Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center, as of June 12 ay aabot na higit 9,000 pamilya o 36,814 na indibidwal ang apektado sa Bicol Region.

Umakyat na rin sa 3,878 na pamilya o katumbas ng 13,778 indibidwal ang nananatili sa 22 itinalagang evacuation centers.  | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
