Isang manlalangoy mula Jolo, Sulu, tagumpay sa kanyang layuning makapagbigay ng karangalan sa lalawigan at sa bansa

Isa na namang taga-Sulu ang nagbigay karangalan at inspirasyon sa kanyang mga kababayan sa katauhan ni Nor-Ayn “Ayunee”Tiam Wat Darkis, ito’y matapos na manalo sa apat na leg ng open water swimming competition na kanyang nilahukan sa unang pagkakataon na isinagawa sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Ayon sa kwento ni Ayunee sa panayam sa kanya ng DXSM Radyo Pilipinas Jolo, nanalo siya bilang 2nd runner-up sa loob ng 53 kalahok na babae sa unang leg ng 1.5 km open water swimming competition sa 11 isla noong ika-12 ng Pebrero ngayong taon.

Nasundan ito nang manalo siya bilang 1st runner-up sa 2.5 km 2nd leg ng naturang kompetisyon na ginanap sa Buluan Islands, Zamboanga del Sur.

Pero nagtapos lamang siya bilang 4th runner-up sa 3rd leg sa Maragang Lake, Pagadian City. At sa huling leg, nasungkit niya ang 1st runner-up sa loob ng 79 na manlalangoy na ginanap sa Dakak, Zamboanga del Norte.

Sa ngayon, naghahanda na si Ayunee para sa sasalihan niyang 4.5 km open water competition na gaganapin sa ika-23 ng Hulyo taong kasalukuyan sa Zamboanga City hanggang sa Santa Cruz Island.

Paalala nito sa kanyang mga kababayan lalo na sa kapwa niyang kabataan na huwag gawing dahilan ang kahirapan. Dahil ang lahat ay nagagawan ng paraan upang makamit ang anumang nais nilang abutin sa buhay. | ulat Fatma Jinno | RP1 Jolo
