“Coming at a time when the world and our country are phasing out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Secretary Herbosa’s role now becomes pivotal and strategic…But we really need to get back on track to Universal Health Care and the modernization of the healthcare system at the local, regional, and national levels. The pandemic robbed us of the chance to implement the first stages of universal health care these past three years. We need to make up for lost time,” ani Herrera.
“We in Congress are aware of Secretary Herbosa’s credentials, reputation for producing effective results, and diplomatic character—all of which are essential to navigating the many issues and challenges facing the DOH. The next several weeks are crucial, especially so with the budget formulation process already underway, and the budget hearings will soon ensue in Congress from August to December,” saad ni Co. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
