Tiniyak ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) sa Asian investors na ipagpapatuloy ng gobyerno ang pagsasaprayoridad sa infrastructure development.

Sa pagharap ng economic team sa Philippine Economic Briefing sa Singapore, binigyang-diin ni Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan ang kahalagahan ng pamumuhunan at pagpopondo sa halos 200 Build-Better-More Infrastructure Flagship Projects ng administrasyong Marcos.

Hinikayat din ni Balisacan ang mga negosyante na maging katuwang sa pag-abot ng development goals.

Pinagtibay din ng administrasyon ang commitment na panatilihin ang annual spending sa imprastraktura sa five hanggang six percent ng Gross Domestic Product o GDP mula 2023 hanggang 2028.

Katumbas ito ng tinatayang $20-bilyong dolyar hanggang $40-bilyong dolyar na tututok sa fundamental infrastructure na nagsisilbing growth driver kung saan nakalilikha ito ng trabaho at iba pang economic opportunities.

Dagdag pa ni Balisacan, matutugunan ng mga proyektong ito ang short at long-term challenges sa paglikha ng trabaho at pagsugpo sa kahirapan.  | ulat ni Hajji Kaamiño
