Hinikayat ni Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez si Pang. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na linisin ang hanay ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) at Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
Bunsod aniya ito ng magkakasunod na “aviation mess” na bigong tugunan ng mga opisyal ng naturang mga ahensya.
Aniya, maituturing na negligence o kapabayaan ang hindi pa rin pagpapataw ng parusa laban sa Cebu Pacific.
“The ongoing air transportation or aviation mess is due to the failure of these agencies to faithfully and satisfactorily carry out their mandates. They are guilty of negligence for failing or refusing to sanction Cebu Pacific for its lousy service to the riding public,” diin ni Rodriguez.
Punto pa ng Mindanao lawmaker, bilang dating mga airlinr at airport executives sina DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista at Usec. Roberto Lim, ay malaki ang expectation o inaasahan ng publiko mula sa kanila sa pagtugon sa naturang isyu.
“With their wealth of knowledge and experience, the public expects much from them. They should sort out this mess about delayed flights, cancelled flights, overbooking, and airport glitches.
