OCD, handa sa posibilidad na i-akyat sa alert level 4 ang status ng Bulkang Mayon

Tiniyak ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na handa sila kung sakaling lumala pa ang pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Mayon.

Ayon kay Civil Defense Administrator and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director, Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno, may naka-standby na mahigit 1.3 bilyong pisong halaga ng tulong para sa mga maaapektuhang residente.

Siniguro ni Nepumoceno na sapat ang pondo ng pamahalaan na pambili ng mga pagkain, hygiene kits, tubig at iba pang pangangailangan ng mga kailangang ilikas.

Sa oras na itaas sa Alert Level 4 ang Bulkang Mayon ay posibleng palawigin na rin sa 7 kilometro ang umiiral na 6 kilometrong permanent danger zone.

Sa kasalukuyan, nananatili sa Alert level 3 ang Bulkang Mayon na ang ibig sabihin ay may mataas na posibilidad na magkaroon ng “hazardous eruption” sa mga susunod na araw o linggo. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
