Operasyon ng mga geothermal power plant sa Bicol Region, hindi naapektuhan ng pag-alboroto ng bulkang Mayon – DOE

Iniulat ng Department of Energy (DOE) na wala pang epekto ang pag-alboroto ng bulkang Mayon sa operasyon ng dalawang malalaking geothermal power plant sa Bicol Region.

Ayon kay Assistant Secretary Mario Marasigan, patuloy pa rin ang full operations ng Bacon-Manito Geothermal Power Plant at Tiwi Geothermal Power Plant.

Bukod pa rito, papalayo ang wind direction mula sa mga geothermal Power plant kaya walang inaasahang epekto sa kanilang operasyon.

Sinabi rin ni Marasigan na may mga hakbang na ang mga naturang kumpanya para tiyakin na ligtas ang mga empleyado at tiyakin na tuloy tuloy ang komunikasyon para panatilihing operational ang mga planta| ulat ni Bernard Jaudian Jr.
