Parcel na naglalaman ng mga Tarantula, naharang sa NAIA

Naharang at kinumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs – Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) ang isang parcel na nglalaman ng 4 na Tarantula sa Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) sa Pasay City.

Ayon sa BOC-NAIA, nakatakda sanang ipadala sa Seoul, Republic of Korea ang nasabing parcel buhat sa Caloocan City na ipinaraan sa Express Mail Service ng Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost).

Idineklarang sweet salted fish snacks ang naturang kontrabando subalit nabisto ang tunay na laman nito makaraang isailalim sa x-ray screening ng mga tauhan ng BOC-NAIA x-ray Inspection Project.

Agad sinuri ang package sa pakikipag-ugnayan naman mula sa Enforcement and Security Service – Environmental Protection and Compliance Division ng BOC-NAIA at Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Dahil walang kaukulang dokumento ay agad nai-turnover sa DENR ang mga nakumpiskang Tarantula para sa karampatang pag-iingat at imbestigasyon.

Habang mahaharap naman sa reklamong paglabag sa Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) may kaugnayan sa RA 9147 o ang Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act ang nagpadala ng parcel.| ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
