Pilipinas, magiging host ng Joint Commission Meeting ng UN World Tourism Organization sa susunod na taon

Malugod na tinanggap ni United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Secretary-General Zurab Pololikshvili ang pag-host ng Pilipinas ng ika-36 na Joint Commission Meeting ng UNWTO na gaganapin sa taong 2024.

Binati ng opisyal at pinasalamatan si Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco para sa napaka-impressive na pagsisikap ng Pilipinas na magsagawa ng dinner reception upang tapusin ang Commission Meetings sa Phnm Penh at magbigay ng pasilip sa pag-host ng bansa.

Pinasalamatan rin ni Frasco ang UNWTO at ang mga member-states nito sa suporta sa pag-host ng Pilipinas ng susunod na Commission Meeting habang ibinabahagi niya ang mayamang kasaysayan ng Cebu bilang duyan ng Kristyanismo sa Asya.

Kamakailan ay nahalal si Frasco bilang Vice President ng ika-25 General Assembly ng UNWTO. Taong 1999 nang huling mahawakan ng Pilipinas ang nasabing posisyon. | ulat ni Gab Humilde Villegas
