SOGIE Bill, di prayoridad — Sen. Joel Villanueva

Iginiit ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva na hindi prayoridad at walang pangangailangan na maipasa kaagad ang Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) Bill.

Pinunto ng majority leader na wala ito sa listahan ng mga priority bills ng administrasyon.

Dinagdag rin ni Villanueva na may mga senador na miyembro ng Committee on Rules ang nagpadala ng liham at nagpahayag ng reservation sa naturang panukala kaya nananatili pa rin ito sa Committee on Rules.

Matatandaang naglabas na noon ng Committee Report ang Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality na pinamumunuan ni Senador Risa Hontiveros tungkol sa SOGIE Bill o Senate Bill 1600.

Pero hindi ito naipresenta sa plenaryo ng Senado at ibinalik sa Committee on Rules dahil sa oposisyon mula sa ilang religious groups at iba pang mga sektor.
