Nanawagan ng suporta si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) na suportahan ang Philippine Development Plan (PDP) for 2023 to 2028, maging ang legislative priority ng administrasyon.
“So, I take this opportunity to rally your support behind our socio-economic plan and the Administration’s legislative priorities. To this day, our Vice Mayors are important instruments in our bureaucracy and in our delivery of services to the public,” pahayag ng Pangulong Marcos.
Sa oath-taking ceremony ng national officers ng VMLP, sinabi ng Pangulo na ngayong nakalatag na ang PDP 2023-2028, nasa mga kamay na ng LGUs ang implementasyon ng groundwork, maging ang pagtitiyak na magkakaroon ng bunga ang planong ito.
“It is now upon us to solidify the groundwork upon which this transformation is based, and to make sure that it gains traction, especially at the local level,” ani Pangulong Marcos.
Ipinunto rin ng Pangulo na ang mga mahahalagang programa at proyekto para sa mga Pilipino ay dapat na maramdaman sa local level nang angkop at napapanahon.
“Of course, LGUs are not alone in this exercise. Through strategic capacity-building efforts and partnerships with the national government and the private sector, these can be accomplished even in the short-term, well within our terms of office,” aniya.
Ginamit ni Pangulong Marcos ang pagkakataon upang siguruhin ang commitment ng kaniyang administrasyon sa patuloy na pagkilala at pagsusulong ng autonomiya ng mga lokal na pamahalaan.
