Surprise random drug testing, isasagawa sa DILG attached agencies

Ipinag-utos ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Jr. ang pagpapatupad ng surprise random drug testing sa mga kawani ng DILG at mga attached agencies nito.

Sinabi ni Abalos na bahagi ito ng Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program ng kagawaran.

Aniya, bilang pagpapakita din ito na ang buong DILG family ay nagsisilbing huwaran sa kampanya laban sa iligal na droga.

Hinikayat din ni Abalos ang mga Local Chief Executives ng bansa na gamitin ang malaking impluwensya ng sports sa mga Pilipino bilang isa sa mga mabisang sandata upang mailayo ang publiko, partikular ang kabataan, mula sa masasamang bisyo.

Ang BIDA program ay bahagi ng “whole-of-nation approach” ng pamahalaan kontra iligal na droga.

Kabilang dito ang local government units, national government agencies, at iba pang stakeholders upang isulong ang pagbabawas ng demand sa droga sa lahat ng sektor ng komunidad. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
